Alan and Kelly Bair are the owners of Bair Necessities Farm. Alan is a retired, wounded veteran. Alan spent 25 years in the Army, completed 4 deployments after 9/11 and received a purple heart from injuries sustained on his 3rd deployment. He received the bronze star from his 4th deployment. He is now fully retired and enjoying working on the farm.
Kelly Bair works full time as an accountant. She completed her PhD in Business Administration with a concentration in Advanced Accounting. She also teaches part-time for a local community college and an online university. She is a Board member for a local organization that helps neighbors in need and enjoys coming home to the farm and helping out and working on her quilting projects.
Alan and Kelly raise free range chickens, horses, miniature donkeys, and ducks. This year they started a bee hive and will soon be adding a greenhouse to grow fresh, organic produce. Future plans are to start a horse therapy program for wounded veterans and people with disabilities. So, stay tuned!
